Lesson Plan in EPP VI

I. Objectives

At the end of the 50-minute lesson, the grade VI pupils should be able to do the
following with at least 85% level of accuracy:

a. identify the characteristics of different animals/fish raising;


b. appreciate the importance of an alternative source of income for the
family;

c. create a graphic organizer for different kinds of four-legged animals/


fishes.

II. Subject Matter a.

A. Topic: Animal/fish raising

B. Reference: Curriculum Guide Grade 6 p.34, Youtube, Google Images

C. Materials: Power point presentation, video, and Manila paper.

III. Procedure
Preliminary Activities
a. Greetings
Good afternoon class! (Good afternoon teacher). How are you today? (we’re
fine teacher). That’s good to know. I am Teacher Leo and I will be your
teacher for today, are you ready to learn new things today? (Yes teacher) very
good.

b. Checking of Attendance
Before we proceed with our lesson for today, let us check your attendance
first, is everyone present today? (Yes teacher) very good class!
c. Setting the mood
Now, who can tell me what we should observe when we are having our class
discussion? (Listen attentively) very good! what else? (Participate) that’s right,
who wants to add? (Don’t make unnecessary noise) very good class, I will be
expecting that from all of you, okay?
Now, before we start, please arrange your chairs, pick up any
Trash under your chairs and then sit up properly.

Developmental Activities
a. Motivation
What can you see on our board? (window teacher) that’s right, do you want to
see what’s inside the window? (Yes teacher) I need a two volunteer to help me
open the window, who wants to help me? (Me teacher) (and me teacher)
please come in front. Are you excited to see it class? (Yes teacher) now let’s
open it! What can you see inside the window class? (Cow, goat, horse, chicken
and fish teacher) did you see a four-legged animal? (Yes teacher) how about a
water animal? (Yes teacher) have you seen these animals in person? (Yes\No
teacher) have you experienced taking care of these animals? (Yes\No) who

can share her experience? (Me teacher) very good!

b. Discussion
Now class, do you have any idea what topic are we going to discuss today?
(Our topic for today is about animals/fish raising) That is correct! Our Lesson
for today is about Four -legged animals/fish raising. Where are four-legged
animals/fish raising can be found? (Four-legged animals can be found in the
farm, and home. Fishes are found in the salt/fresh water) Very Good!
I will show you a picture of a raising animals and fishes. Then, identify what
animals are these? (carabao, goat, and cow fishes are Milkfish, Catfish,
Tilapya, Dalag.) where can we see these four-legged animals? (Farm teacher)
how about the fishes? (Fish pond teacher) who raises and taking care of these
animals? (a person\people) correct, people are the one taking care of these
animals.
do you think this animals/fish are raised as means of livelihood? (Yes teacher)
How? ( like in the farm, they sale the chicken) that’s correct, people uses
raising of selected animals as means of livelihood, these pictures are example
of those animals.

c. Generalization
Again children, What are some of the different kinds of animals/ fish to be
raised as means of livelihood ? (carabao, pig, goat, and cow fishes are
Milkfish, Catfish, Tilapya, Dalag)
Why do you think we need to know the importance of animal and fish raising
that would help in livelihood of the family? (They are important because
animals/fishes are to be raised as alternative sources of income of the family.)
That is right, we need to know on how the importance of animal and Fish
raising. It is one of the sources of livelihood of many Filipinos today,
and with knowledge, skill and hard work, it can become the most profitable
businesses today.

d. Application
Now class, to test your understanding about our lesson today, we will have an
activity. Count 1-3 all, group 1 in the right side, the group 2 is the left side and
the group 3 is at the back. I have here pictures. The group who will present
first will have 5 additional points, second will have 3 points and last one point
on you r quiz later. But before we continue, who can read our direction first?

Direction: Directions: Cut and paste a picture of four-legged animals/fish


raising. After you paste it to the Manila paper, each group will create a
graphic
organizer for different kinds of four-legged animals/ fishes and indicate its
names. Be creative because you will present it in front of the class.
IV. Evaluation
Now, to further check your understanding, we will have another activity.
