We are all responsible for each
other. It is our duty to be ready to
save other people from the struggle
of life and death. A little knowledge
of first aid can save a life.

FIRST AID
First aid is the provision of basic assistance,
protection and care to people who have been
injured due to an accident or illness.

The three main goals of first aid better


known as the 3 P's (three P's) are as
follows:
1. Preserve life
2. Prevent further injury or illness
3. Promote recovery

TRY IT
Directions: Write TRUE if the statement is correct and FALSE if it is incorrect. Write

1. Get help from others to call an ambulance immediately for victims with serious
conditions.
2. If the victim is unconscious, check the person's vital signs such as heart rate and
breathing.
3. To know that the victim is breathing, look at the chest if it is moving.
4. During an accident, think of the safety of others before yourself.
5. If no equipment is found make a temporary one equipment such as bandages
made of clean clothes.
6. Immediately move the victim to another place or place.

INVESTIGATE THE SCENE OF THE
ACCIDENT.
Investigation of the scene to ensure that the
area is safe. The victim can be moved to another
place or place if necessary, but it must be

victim) and shirts.

immediately for victims with serious conditions. Support

CONDUCT AN INVESTIGATION OF
THE VICTIM.
The victim can be questioned about vital
information such his name, address, and phone
number of his relatives if he is aware. Verify the
victim's vital signs, including their temperature,
pulse, and respiration, if they are not conscious.
One can feel for movement in the victim's chest
to confirm if they are breathing. It is audible and
tactile as well.
