SECTION D – Reflecting and Improving Performance

Jump Rope Progress Journal

WEEK 1 – IN SCHOOL
WWW. (what went well…)
WWW:
- Individual: I was simply re-learning how to jump rope, since I

👍
had forgotten my skill, due to me not jump roping for an
exceedingly long time.
- Group: I was simply re-learning how to jump rope, since I had
forgotten my skill, due to me not jump roping for an exceptionally
long time. While the others were also doing the same and
searching for more new skills to learn aswell.
EBI. (Even better if…) EBI:
- Individual: I was more focused on trying to start jump roping
consistently first
-

🎯
Group: We were working more individually and sorting things out
first, rather than as a group first.

MNS. (My next step…) My next steps:

- Individual: Work on perfecting jump roping
- Group: Plan more as a group.

👣
WEEK 2 – IN SCHOOL
WWW. (what went well…) WWW:
- Individual: I was getting better and consistent with jumprope.
- Group: We planned some music and gave skill
recommendations.

👍
EBI. (Even better if…) EBI:

- Individual: Not so many skills were perfected due to the fact that

🎯
we were busy working in groups
- Groups: Not so much could have been done since one of our
group members was absent for a week, which somewhat slowed
things down.

MNS. (My next step…) BOTH Group and Indvidual: Improve jump roping and start learning
skills.

👣
WEEK 3 – IN SCHOOL
WWW. (what went well…) Individual: I was able to consistently jump rope and started learning
skills.

👍
Group: We had this week allocated for our individual performances, but
in return we had the next week when we come back from winter break to
be fully about our group performance, this is done so we have time to
fully perfect skills and fully dedicate time for our group performance later
on.

EBI. (Even better if…) Individual: Due to the fact I was not able to jump rope consistently, a lot
of my time was at simply getting my hang on jump roping, meaning
some time was given up from learning skills to practicing getting better at
jump roping.

🎯
MNS. (My next step…)
Group: We should try and work more collaboratively as a group, since
some people do not share as many ideas as others, however there is an
exception however, this is due to this week only being dedicated to pure
individual work.
BOTH for Individual Group: Work more and develop my skills during the
winter break.
👣
WEEK 4 – WINTER BREAK
WWW. (what went well…) Individual: I was able to practice for a couple of days, which really
helped since I can actually jumprope consistently without failing or
tripping and there was major success in learning newer skills.

👍
EBI. (Even better if…)
Group: Not applicable, since we were not in contact as a group during
the winter break.

Individual: Even Tho I had winter break, I had tutoring and also had to
go places, meaning some of the time I was limited in time to practice,
and I wished I had more time to practice during the break.

🎯
MNS. (My next step…)
Group: Not applicable, since we were not in contact as a group during
the winter break.

(For when I get back to school)

Individual: Further develop my skills, by simply practicing them over and

👣
over.

Group: Organize the performance and what moves people are doing
during the performances.

WEEK 5 – WINTER BREAK

WWW. (what went well…) I was unable to practice in weeks 5 and 6 due to the fact that I was away
from home and did not have access to a jump rope.

👍

from home and did not have access to a jump rope.

👣
WEEK 7 – IN SCHOOL
WWW. (what went well…) Individual: I formulated all the performances and skills I will show in the
performances and practiced all the sets consistently.
Group: We all put in place all the moves and skills that are to be shown,
we have also recorded our work in our documents.

👍
EBI. (Even better if…) Individual: I had decided to take the easy route when choosing skills and
such since I was a beginner, this meant some of the skills chosendid
notot have that much if a wow factor in it.

🎯
MNS. (My next step…)
Group: More active contribution from everyone.

BOTH FOR GROUP AND INDIVIDUAL: Complete the documents on

manage Bac and simply rehearse more on both performances.

👣
WEEK 8 – PERFORMANCE WEEK
WWW. (what went well…) Group & Individual: We worked well to be able to rehearse and finalize
all documents we had worked on.

👍
EBI. (Even better if…) Group & Individual: Nothing much was needed for improvement, this is
due to our performances, both group and individual being fully prepared
and ready, meaning the only thing left for us to do was rehearse and
perform!W

🎯BIGGEST SUCCESS
OF THE UNIT?
The biggest success is 100%, me learning how to jump rope and being
successful at it. I started this with no knowledge of how to jump rope let
alone be able to perform tricks, but however through this unit, I gained
tipped and tricks to help me be able to be able to jump rope consistently,
after gaining this knowledge, I further picked up some skills. However, I
wish I could have challenged myself into doing harder skills, since I tend
not to take risks and prefer to stay at a comfort zone instead of finding

🏆 new heights.
