Basic Worksheet Brainstorming.


Rules
● Defer judgement. You never know where a good idea is going to come from.
● Encourage wild ideas.
● Build on the ideas of others.
● The only way to get to good ideas is to have lots to choose from.

Method. F2F. Be visual. Write down on post-its/s cky-notes and put them on a wall/big paper.
One group member is in charge of providing the materials (s cky-notes, pens) and of photographing the outcomes of the
brainstorming.
Methods online. Miro.com (where remote teams get work done)/Zoom.

Steps brainstorming. About 50-55 min.

Step 1. 5 min. Group


Have you selected a type of product (the same type as the peer group in The Netherlands / India)
Write down on a s cky note the type of product you are going to produce.

Step 2. 15 min. Group


Discuss brie y the categories. E.g.
● How to produce (real/prototype/scale model)
● Which materials: sustainable materials
● Innova ve design
● Target groups/future consumers/Marketing
Step 3. 15 min. Heads down me. Individual (keep silent). Each group member writes down ideas (we need
many.)
Put the s cky-notes on a wall/sheet.
Team members explain their ideas
Arrange the s cky-notes in categories.
Photograph the wall/sheet

Step 4. Group. 10 min.
