Understanding of the work

Our organization has inspected the bidding document including the bill of
quantities together with specifications and drawings, and we understand
that the design and bidding document are prepared up on a sound
technical experience in water works construction. These are elaborated in
our methodology and work schedule below.

Project.

1 Understanding of the Project Areas

By representing the Contractor, a group of engineers lead by Eng. Bekele Burusa

had visited the project areas and existing condition of the projects for evaluation

of existing condition of Project area, to have first hand information of the actual
condition of the site, local material source, Access of the road of the project and
other relevant information which is helpful for preparation of the technical
proposal and price quotation that will be undertaking after this pre qualification.
Accordingly, the findings and data collected during the exciting project visit are
summarized in further.

2. Project Location

The construction site is located at West Harararghe Zone,Masala woreda work

site Obicha Kebale, East Of Finfinne , the Ethiopia During the site Visit, the team

2 Land Cover and Land Use

The major part of the project area in the vicinity was grass land, Moderate Air
and part of one is forest area and others.

3.1.2 Geology

According to the Geological Map of Ethiopia, 2008, the geological formation of

the project area is dominated by clay and metamorphic rock complex.(Take From
Static Office) Because Of Zone 2 according clay map.

Possible sources of construction Material

a. Masonry stone /stone for aggregate production Form Dire

There are construction stone source that will be used for masonry works, at
nearby vicinities of Ambo sites.

b. Sand
There is sand source suitable for water work construction Obicha River in the
project areas.

4 PROPOSED METHOD OF WORKING

The technical proposal we are adopting for the project is fully based on detail
examination of the sites and through understanding of the given Qualification
documents and Information we obtain. Our proposed method for the efficient
execution of the project is as described hereunder;

3.2.1 General Approach

The Bekele Burusa Gc Project team will be organized independently as “Obicha

River Project backed by suitably qualified professional engineers from head office
of the Contractor, who are well experienced in construction of water supply
projects and also highly experienced in civil works, contract administration for
carrying out the assignment. The Project Organizational Chart, which describes
the organizational structure and Team Composition of the project is considered
and indicated in the “Chart” below.

Mobilization of the Contractor staffs, equipment, materials & Work

Methodology

Up on receiving the Notice to commence the works the project activity will be
commenced by collecting complete set of Project Documents and project
Information, followed by organizing and equipping of the project team with the
necessary manpower & construction equipment within mobilization period of 5
days.

Within the time of project commencement period which takes place within 5 days
after site hand over of the project, the core project staff including General
Manager, Project Manager, Construction Forman & Chief Plumber will mobilize to
the project site for assessment of the project, site preparation and other
preliminary activities.

At this stage, the Project Manager and his core staff will meet with the local
respective authorities to conduct Community awareness pertaining to the project
area such as land acquisition and locating campsite and locally available
construction material utilization. Based on this information, the Project team will
prepare the practical work schedule, which eventually submitted to your
organization as a Final work schedule.

Surveying Crew of the project will start surveying works immediately after site
handover of the project, such as: set Control Points and adequate bench marks
for all structures at the first place and finally supervise the designed level and
layout of the project components.

Mobilization of Equipments and construction materials will be commenced

immediately upon effectiveness of the Contract and the excavation will start
parallel to the mobilization activity, within maximum of ten (15) days after.
