any other means before placing. All reinforcement placed should comply with the drawings. Lap length will be taken in to account
according to the project specification when binding reinforcement bars.

2.7 Form work

All formwork will be made by using 3/4" Phenolic Board, and shuttered/supported by timber or by metal. Supports and scaffolding
will be 1-1/2" G.I. Pipe Sched 20. All surfaces of formwork will be finished smooth and mortar tight. The dimensions & position of
formwork will be carefully checked after erection. Oil or grease will be used to avoid adhesion of mortar and to acheive a smooth
surface. Before concrete pouring all dirt, wood chips, hardened concrete or mortar and all other foreign matter must be removed
from the forms. Well qualified steelmans / foremans will be appointed for fixing of formworks & reinforcement work. Concrete
pouring will be divided into 3 lifts. The first lift is 2.4m height from the bottom of the tank, the second is 1.6m, and the last and third
lift is the top slab of the UG RC Tank.

2 Concrete Pouring
The method for placing of concrete will be worked out to prevent segregation of the material & engineer's approval will be taken
before concreting begins. Before placing concrete all formwork therein will be cleaned of all extraneous material and dust and
made free fo any standing water. In continuing concrete, fresh concrete must be poured before the already poured concrete aged
20 minutes. Concrete will not be dropped from a height greater than 2.0 m to prevent segretion. Concrete will be free of all rock
pockets, honey combs & voids.

2.8 Compacting / Vibration of Concrete

Mechanical vibrators will be used for compaction. For this stand by units will be available in the site during the period of
compacting. All operators handling vibrators will be trained in their operation properly.

2.9 Curing
Continuous curing will carried out in a moist atmosphere for a minimum period of 10 days for a further period required by engineer.
Concrete structure under curing period must be kept moist throughout this period by sprinkling it with water regularly daily.

2.1 Construction Joints

The surface of the hardened concrete will be cleaned and made free from laitance, and will also have exposed aggregate finish.
The fresh concret will be placed and compacted so that it bonds properly to the prepared surface of the previously laid concrete.
Laitance on the surface will be completely removed from the concrete in order to achieve a good bond with fresh concrete. After
finishing this operation, just the tips of the aggregates should be showing. Water stops in construction joints will be installed in the
manner shown in the picture below.

3.1 Checking Water Content & Slump Test

Frequent slump test will be carried out in accordance with the specifications and application of the concrete as indicated in the
structural plan on samples of concrete taken immediately before placing to determine the consistency of concrete. All the test
reports will be maintained in the site office & will be available for the inspection whenever required.

3.2 Waterproofing
Ensure that all preceding activities completed which cannot be accessed after waterproofing works are inspected, released and
approved. (e.g. water leak testing, etc.) Rectify non-conforming conditions prior to commencing waterproofing works. The brand
that must be used for waterproofing is Sealproof Cemetitious Crystalline Compound, and the procedures for its application are the
following:

PUMP CONTROL ROOM & EFFLUENT POLISHING ROOM

3.2 Walls and Column

Construct CHB Block Walls using high-strength CHB blocks with a minimum compressive strength of 3.5 MPa, laid in full mortar
beds and complying with the approved structural plans and NSCP standards. Erect reinforced concrete columns at designated
locations, using formwork constructed from 3/4" Phenolic Board and supported by adjustable steel props. Reinforce columns with
Grade 40 steel bars, ensuring proper placement and alighment. Pour concrete into the column formwork, employing proper

40 steel bars, ensuring proper placement and alighment. Pour concrete into the column formwork, employing proper
vibration technique to ensure consolidation and eliminate honeycombing. Cure the concrete columns by providing adequate
moisture and temperature control for a minimum period of 7 days.

3.2 Beam
Fabricate reinforced concrete beams using high-quality plywood formwork, specifically 3/4" Phenolic Board, and Grade 40 & 33
steel reinforcement, designated in accordance with structural plans for beam depth, width, and reinforcement spacing. Place and
compact concrete into the beam formwork, ensuring proper consolication and vibration to achieve unifrom density and eliminate air
voids. Cure the concrete beams by providing continuous moisture and temperature control for a minimum period of 7 days.

3.2 Roof Slabs

Install formwork for the roof slabs using 3/4" Phenolic Board and adjustable steel props, ensuring proper alighment and support.
Reinforce roof slabs with steel bars, following the specifications as indicated in the structural plans for reinforcement spacing,
cover, and lap lengths. Pour concrete into the formwork, employing proper consolidation techniques to eliminate voids and achieve
a smooth surface finish. Cure the concrete roof slabs by providing adequate moisture and temperature control for a minimum
period of 7 days.

3.2 Plastering
Prepare surfaces for the smooth or non-absorbent solid surfaces that do not have the suction capability to receive a solid plaster
bases by chipping, wire brushing or sand blasting, as appropriate. Install beads at their locations plumbed and squared. And it will
be best achieved by using galvanized nails or small quantities of mortar and as per manufacturer's recommendations. Install the
corner, control joints and movement beads at locations indicated in the drawings and manufacturer's instructions. Prepare plaster
in a mechanical mixer, using sufficient water to produce a workable consistency and unifrom color shall be used to mix a batch
containing one bag of Portland Cement, 5 part fine aggregate, aerating plasticizer as per manufacturer's recommendation for use
over Concrete Unit Masonry. Spray water on the wall surface and throw the spatter dish mix (scratch coat) by using a spatter dash
manual machine in a way to form a rough layer 3-5mm thick without any attempt to level or smooth it. The rough surface shall be
kept damp with fine water spray. Apply plaster/render coat after the scratch coat had hardened. Initially, a thin coat is troweled on
the scratch coat to ensure a thorough bonding at the surface. The remainder of the render coat is then built up using wooder float
to recieve textured finish until the required thickness met. Apply final thin coat plastering using steel trowel on the interior surface.

3.2 Joinery
All the Doors & Louvers shall be galvanized steel and concrete respectively as per approved Drawings and Specifications.
Openings should be complete with the necessary reference layout. Ensure the reference labels on delivered doors are corrently
reflected from references provided and carefully inspected considering the code per designated location. The door is then
positioned and with the lay-out reference string carefully positioning the door on both its horizontal and vertical alighment with the
use of level bar plumbs. The door frame is then temporarily fixed using clamp and wedge at the top and bottom of the door
opening. Screws are drilled into the edges on locations where the frame will be supported until proper depth into the concrete wall.
With the frame fixed and pinholes or slots drilled into walls, prepare for the setting of the door following the procedure specified in
the isntallation manual supplied by the door manufacturer. Clearance around the door shall be +/- 3mm (unless otherwise
specified) in order that door opens and closes without any obstacles by the door frame. Mount concrete louver vent blocks for
windows, ensuring tight joints and proper sealing to prevent water ingress and maintain ventilation efficiency.

3.2 Painting
The surface of walls, coluns, beams, and roof slabs must be cleaned to thoroughly to remove any dirt, dust, grease, or loose
particles. Cracks, holes, or imperfections in the surfaces must be repaired using appropriate repair materials and techniques. The
surfaces must be ensured to be dry and free from moisture before proceeding with painting. Apply a coat of suitable primer to the
prepared surfaces using a brush, roller, or spray gun. Ensure that the primer is only applied and
fully covers the surfaces, promoting adhesion and uniformity of the topcoat. Allow the primer to dry completely according to the
manufacturer's instructions before proceeding to the next step. Choose high-quality acrylic or elastomeric paint suitable for the
substrate material and environmental conditions. Apply the first coat of paint evenly to the primed surfaces using a brush, roller, or
spray gun. Allow the first coat to dry completely before applying the second coat, ensuring proper drying times as specified by the
paint manufacturer. Apply the second coat of paint in the same manner as the first coat, ensuring complete coverage and
uniformity of color. Inspect the painted surfaces for any missed spots, drips, or unevenness, and make necessary touch-ups or
corrections while the paint is still wet. Allow the final coat of paint to dry thoroughly before subjecting the furfaces to any further
construction activities or environmental exposure.
