Motor Room Equipment Arrival

Car Top and Shaft Departure
1 Check all function of car top inspection station. Take action as appropriate. 1 Complete Service Log Book noting (F1) maintenance task set completed with
comments.
2 Clean and organize car top. Hydraulic: Bleed Ram(s)/ Cylinder(s)

Doors

3 Check landing door gibs on same doors for proper fixing and operation. Replace/
adjust/take action as appropriate.
4 Check landing door closing reel for fixing and tension on same doors. Adjust/take
action as appropriate.
5 Check door drive for proper operation.
a. Clean and lubricate door gear and pulley(s) as appropriate.
b. Clean and lubricate selected landing door header tracks as appropriate.
c. Check selected landing door roller condition and fixings.
d. Check door drive belt/chain/arm for tension. Replace/adjust/take action as
appropriate.
Pit
1 Ensure proper stop switch operation. Replace/take action and report as
appropriate.
2 Check for water ingress in pit. Remove trash. Advise client and report as
appropriate.
3 Check operation and compliance of pit lighting and power supply. Advise client
and report as appropriate.
4 Check base landing door gibs for proper alignment and operation. Replace/adjust/
take action as appropriate.
5 Check car bottom guides shoes/rollers for wear, adjustment, and tightness.
Adjust/take action as appropriate
6 Check buffer condition and fixings. Where hydraulic, check oil level. Take action
as appropriate.
7 Visually Inspect Safety gear.
a. Ensure jaws are in proper position. Take action and report as appropriate.
b. Ensure Linkage is connected. Take action and report as appropriate.
c. Clean any excess dirt and debris from device as appropriate.

Arrival

log detail noting your arrival.
2 Post "Lift Under Maintenance" notification and safety barriers as required.
Door Operation

5 Check contactor operation for proper actuation and contact. Clean/adjust/replace
as appropriate.
6 Check all brush conditions. Replace/adjust/take action and report as appropriate.
Hydraulic: Bleed the valve block.
7 Check all bearings and gear drive in machine, motors, and diverter pulleys.
Lubricate and report as appropriate.
a. Check for play and binding. Observe for noise/vibration/heat.
8 Check brake operation and tighten all fittings.
a. Check for free movement of solenoid. Clean/adjust/take action as appropriate.
b. Confirm brake switch operation and solid connection. Adjust/replace/take action as
appropriate.
9 Check (visually) governor operation. Take action as appropriate.
10 Wipe down all dust and dirt from exterior of controller and transformers. Sweep
machine room and pulley room.
11 Check all terminal strips in controller for good connection.
Doors
1 Check and clean main access landing door locks and five additional landings.

b. Clean and lubricate selected landing door header tracks as appropriate.
c. Check selected landing door roller condition and fixings.
d. Check door drive belt/chain/arm for tension. Replace/adjust/take action as
appropriate.
6 Check Light curtain/door edge cable for wear to insulation and fixing point. Adjust
or replace as necessary.
Pit
1 Ensure proper stop switch operation. Replace/take action and report as
appropriate.
2 Check for water ingress in pit. Remove trash. Advise client and report as
appropriate.
3 Check operation and compliance of pit lighting and power supply. Advise client
and report as appropriate.
4 Check base landing door gibs for proper alignment and operation. Replace/adjust/
take action as appropriate.
5 Check terminal limit stopping device. Clean/adjust/replace/take action as
appropriate.
a. Confirm proper and secure fixing point. Tighten/adjust as required.
b. Physically test operation. Record bottom over travel distance on Service Log Book
and Service Docket.

Door Operation

appropriate.
2 Check door re-open circuit button, safety edge, light curtain/photocell. Replace/
adjust/take action and report as appropriate.
3 Check floor leveling at each floor. Adjust/take action and report as appropriate.
4 Clean car door sill(s).

8 Check controller contacts and relays for proper actuation and fixing. Clean/Adjust/
replace as appropriate.
9 Check controller PCB's for proper slotting/connection and damage. Adjust/take
action as appropriate.
10 Check controller cabinet fuses for proper sizing and fitting. Adjust/take action as
appropriate.
11 Check Phase Failure/Reversal device if fitted. Take action as appropriate.
12 Clean and remove dust and debris from inside controller and drive cabinets.
