Social Science is an academic discipline that examines society and the

individuals and groups that make up society.

The word "social" means that the discipline focuses on matters pertaining to
humans as individuals and as engaged in relationships and interactions with other
humans, their communities, and how they cope with their historical and
environmental conditions.

The word at the approach used essentially follows a

scientific method, whether empirical or by theoretical methods of reasoning.

As a field of study, social science is distinguished from the natural sciences

that deal with the physical world, e.g., biology, chemistry, earth sciences and
physics.

The social sciences include anthropology, economics, geography, linguistics,

political science, psychology, sociology, and demography.

Question: Pick one social science mentioned above. What is its important
