SBFP ACCOMPLISHMENT REPORT
The SBFP Focal and other SBFP members appeared to work their best about the complemented
with other School Health Programs such as micronutrient supplementation, Gulayan sa Paaralan Program
(GPP), and WASH in Schools (WinS) Program. Our school head underscore the importance of these
programs to ensure that children are ready to learn and thrive in a healthy school environment that allows
them to develop health-promoting habits and behaviors for a healthier future generation.
Our school head and other school personnel were oriented before the program started. Parents of
beneficiaries were included as participants of the orientation and committed their services for program
implementation. Financial processes, including procurement and auditing procedures, were thoroughly
discussed, and monitored by the core Technical Working Group. A good feedback mechanism was
established using the supervisory structures. The school head gave technical assistance regarding some
problems encountered by the SBFP implementers during the implementation.
The SBFP team visited the far flung Sitio Gapa and Sitio Fugong San Antonio just to deliver the
bottled milk and nutripack to the SBFP beneficiaries it was the far flung Purok in the barangay just to
ensure that all beneficiaries are benefited and received in actual the nutritious food products and milks
were delivered to them. Parents also actively participated on the said program. With this program, It
enhances not just to distribute the NFP but also to developed school-community bonding as well as the
learning performance of the child in school.
The team picked the bottled Milk,Eggs and Nutri Food Products to the Drop-Off Points at
Cubag Integrated School and transport in a Boat and transfer it to the tricycle to ensure that the
Nutritious Food Products delivered immediately to the 108 beneficiaries of Candanum ES.
The implementation of SBFP showcased not only the improvement in nutritional status of
severely wasted (SW) and wasted (W) learners, but at the same time, best practices were seen in different
ways such as the collaboration and close coordination with stakeholders/partners, the use of social media
like Facebook in disseminating information on the implementation of SBFP.
Candanum Elementary School will continue to implement the DepEd-funded SBFP in accordance
with the General Appropriations Act (GAA) enacted for the year and will cover all identified SW and W
Kindergarten to Grade 6 students of the current year.
