Upon completion of the lesson, students will demonstrate the ability to:
a. Identify adjectives in a text and determine the words they modify;
b. Distinguish appropriate adjectives and transform them into different
degrees of comparison;
c. Demonstrate understanding of adjectives by writing an essay using
descriptive language.

PRELIMINARY ACTIVITIES

a. Greeting

 The teacher welcomes the class and invites a student to lead


a prayer.
b. Review
 Recap yesterday's lesson topic and discuss the title of the
short video clip watched.
c. Motivation
Before we proceed to the lesson proper, please observe and answer
these activities.
Directions: Write five adjectives/ modifiers describing the noun at the center of the
circle.

Adjectives/ Modifiers
An adjective-modifies a noun or a pronoun by describing, identifying, or
quantifying words. An adjective usually precedes the noun or the pronoun
which it modifies.
Degree of Comparison of Adjectives
Positive Degree
The positive degree is used when simply describing persons or things.
Comparative Degree
The comparative degree is used when comparing two person or things.

Superlative Degree
The superlative degree of adjectives is formed by adding est to the adjective.
The superlative degree of adjective with two or more syllables is formed by
adding most before the adjective.

2. Imagine your everyday life without adjective? What will be the situation?
3. Do you now realize how important adjectives are in our daily life?
