II. PRESENTACIÓN DE LA ACTIVIDAD

In this case study, you will delve into the world of technical English used in the logistics and supply chain
management field. Your task is to analyze and present the findings of a recent international supply chain
optimization project. This exercise will allow you to apply grammatical rules and language structures of
technical English in both written and oral forms.

III. INSTRUCCIONES:

- The activity is carried out individually.

- The product that students must submit as a result of the activity: a case analysis.
- Deadline for submitting the product: Week 1 in the classroom.

IV. DESARROLLO DE LA ACTIVIDAD

You are a logistics specialist working for a global electronics company. The company recently embarked on a
project to streamline its international supply chain operations. As part of this project, you were assigned to
analyze the efficiency of the supply chain, identify bottlenecks, and propose solutions.

Tasks

- Review the detailed project report provided in English. The report contains data on the current supply
chain, challenges faced, and proposed solutions.

- Apply your comprehension skills to understand the technical vocabulary and terminology used in the
report.
- Write a coherent and organized report summarizing the findings and proposed solutions. Use
appropriate grammar and language structures in technical English.
- Prepare an oral presentation in English where you will present your report's key points to the
management team.

Guidelines
- Review of the Project Report: Begin by thoroughly reading and comprehending the project report. Pay
special attention to technical terms and their usage.
- Vocabulary Identification: Identify and compile a list of technical vocabulary and terminology from the
report. Ensure you understand their meanings in the context of supply chain management.
- Report Writing: Organize your findings and the proposed solutions in a clear and coherent report. Use
proper grammar and language structures in technical English. Focus on clarity and precision.
- Oral Presentation: Prepare a presentation summarizing your report's key points. Use appropriate
visual aids and maintain clear and confident spoken English.

Assessment Criteria

- Comprehension of the Report: Did you understand the project report, including technical terms?
- Vocabulary Usage: Are technical terms correctly identified and used in the report?
- Report Quality: Is the written report coherent, organized, and grammatically sound?
- Oral Presentation: Was the oral presentation clear, well-structured, and delivered confidently in
English?
