What is the use of the faucet in your

Yes, to control the water in our house.

How about the water comes out in the
faucet? Is that clean?
Keeping water clean is very important
for our health and the health of our
family. When water is dirty, it can
make us sick! So, how can we keep
water clean at home? Let's find out!

First, we need to make sure the water

that comes out of our faucet is clean.
We can do this by keeping our
surroundings clean.

That means we shouldn't throw garbage

or chemicals in rivers or lakes. If we
do, it can make the water in our homes
dirty too!

Here's a fun activity: Look at this

Yes, Teacher!

picture of a river. Can you spot all the

things that shouldn't be in the water?
What are those things, class? There are 14 garbage, Teacher!
Yes,
Let's count them together!
How many garbage do you count?
Yes, very good!

Garbage bin, Teacher!

Yes teacher!

Next, what picture is this?

Do you have garbage bin in your
house?

Yes, we should throw our trash in

garbage bins. If we throw trash
anywhere else, it might end up in the
water and make it dirty.

Let's have another activity: I have here

a picture of a garbage bin and a river
full of garbage.
What are you going to do is put the
garbage on the garbage bin.

Wow, very good!

We can also help keep water clean by
joining clean-up drives and asking our
family to help too! When we work
together, we can make a big difference.

Lastly, it's important to cover stored

water so insects won't lay their eggs in
it. That helps keep the water clean and
safe to drink.
