- To revise vocabulary and structures seen previously; provide extra vocabulary

Reading: Read and understand the direction of making a card.
Listening: Listen and match what people like
Speaking: ask and answer about what people like

Writing: identify and write long form of “don’t/ doesn’t”, do writing task on page 57 (workbook)

1/ Warm-up - Play games to revise vocabularies and structure (2 teams roll the dice to get points)

2/ Lesson 5: - Ask ss “name days that could be the day for mom” - women’s day, international
Reading women’s day, Mom’s birthday;
- what do you do for your mom in mom’s day?- giving her flowers/ present/ writing
card,…
- What does your mom like?
- Prediction: ask ss to look at the pictures, things they can see and encourage them
to predict what they are going to read
Presentation
- Ask ss to listen and follow the text
- Ask ss to listen again and underline new words, then explain new words
- Practice reading out loud

Check understanding
- Ask comprehensive questions to check undestanding: What is the first/ second/…
step to make a card?
- Do exercise 3 in book: explain model. Copy the model sentence on board. Ask ss
“is the sentence correct?. In vite one ss to circle the incorrect word in the sentence.
Invite another to write the correct word next to the sentence. Explain ss that each
sentence in the exercise containing one incorrect word that they need to find out
and correct it.

- Make a card for your mom: T prepares materials for ss to make card (paper,
crayons)

- Then each ss can come and present their card. (give points to encourage them)

Lesson 6: - Ask ss to look at the pictures, name the things, people,…
Listening - Ask ss to predict what the listening is about.

- Ask sts to close their books and listen for the context
- Have them to open their books and listen again and do the exercise
- Listen again and check: Write all the answers on board. Wrong answers  listen
again, then explain

Speaking Lead in:

- Revise vocabulary and structures in previous lessons

- Ask ss to focus on the speech bubbles

Presentation:

- Explain the model for ss

- Read the dialogue in the speech bubbles for the class to repeat. Indicating Exercise
1 as you speak

Practice:

Controlled activities:

- Ask ss to work in pairs and take turns to ask and answer about what they like, then
they will talk about what their friend likes (using “he/she”)

- Check accuracy of ss: pronunciation, grammar,…


Guided activities:

Activity: Picture description: T print 3-4 pictures and stick them on the board. Each
team chooses 1 ss to stand face to the rest, T chooses 1 picture, and then the rest will
describe the picture. 2 students representing each team need to guess the correct picture.

- T write some random sentences on the board and invite ss to read.
