A study conducted by Laguador and Agena (2013), states that the faculty members organizes what to

prioritize for a week or even for a day. The faculty members use checklist the night before going
to sleep and it turned out that it worked for them. They have saved their time and energy, and also,
more duties are able to accomplish.

Their study explains that a person should know how to create a plan like to-do list or checklist before
they forget what the tasks were. Creating a plan will help them avoid procrastination and can also
help them prioritize the things that need to prioritize first. Through this conclusion, an individual can
finish works more than what to expect

Similarly, Bocar & Daga-ang (2013) supported the statement above. He stated that students,
regardless of status, would exercise managing their time wisely to achieve their goals. In order for
the students to attain their setting goals in life they must learn or practice on how to manage their
time effectively.

Why this theory?


It is related to this study because it also talks about dealing with time. The theory suggests
proper prioritization and that is the thing the researchers want to test. The points that has been
embed in the theory are the things that the researchers need to study. The theory talks about the
importance of time in terms of proper prioritization.

TIME MANAGEMENT PRACTICES (RESULTS AND DISCUSSIONS)


As shown above, the students have high prioritization level in doing their task according to
what should be the first to be done with a weighted mean of 3.17. As well as to the prioritization level
in monitoring daily activities and reconciling any difference from the plan with a weighted mean of
2.74. Overall, the grand weighted mean for prioritization level is 2.92 which is interpreted as a
high priority.

Recommendation In the light of the findings and conclusions of the study, the
following recommendations are proposed in order to properly manage the time of the students in
the factors namely, prioritization, procrastination and socialization.
 Students may have a long-term goal in mind, but the best approach to achieve it is to break it
down into smaller, more achievable goals. Big goals are more challenging to achieve since they
can overwhelm us and appear far away. If you keep chipping away at the goal, little by little,
you’ll get there.
In administering the questionnaire, the researchers distributed the questionnaire to the
respondents personally to explain the purposes of the
21 study.

Having time management is important for them because it will help those ABM Students on
how they are going to deal and manage their time even if there is a lot of school works. Proper time
management will be a big help to students for they will acquire new knowledge, discover
different strategies and teaching them to be a productive and responsible one that can be apply in
different aspects of life. This study aim to explain the relationship between time management
and academic performance to the students and also the things that affect proper time management.
