ABSTRACT
The study investigates the synergistic effects of cashew, sent leaves and Guava leaves (Psidium
pathogens such as E. coli, Staph aureus, Proteus mirabilis, Salmonella typhi, Klebsiella
Pneumonae. The phytochemical screening of the three extract were also investigated. The results
indicated that the leaves contain alkaloid, saponin, glycoside, terpernoid, phytate, oxalate,
phenolics as the active ingredients. The mixture of the three extracts exerted high antibacterial
effect on the test organisms with the exception of Proteus murabilis. Therefore, the mixture of
the three leaves can be used to treat ailment caused by the test organisms.
