I. OBJECTIVES
At the end of the lesson, 95% of the students are expected to:
a. identify the different principles of interior design;
b. value the importance of principles of interior design in home;
c. create their own design using the different principles of interior design.

2. Analysis
The teacher will ask the following question:
a. What connection can you make between the words we displayed and the
topic at hand?
b. Have you ever tried designing your own room or house?
c. Do you have any basis or guidelines to follow in designing your home or
room?
d. Are you satisfied with the result?
3. Abstraction
The teacher will discuss the topic based on the following:
a) Interior design.
b) Seven (7) principles of interior design:
Balance
Formal/symmetrical
Informal/ asymmetrical
Radial
Unity and Harmony
Rhythm
Proportion and scale
Emphasis
Contrast
Details
c) Importance of principles of interior design in home.
The teacher will validate, reinforce the answers of the students and
encourage them to explain/express their ideas on the questions.
4. Application
The teacher will group the students into 4. Each group will choose
representative to come to the front and pick their materials provided. They
will be given 15 minutes to create their own design using the different
principles of interior design. Then another 2-5 minutes to present it in the
class. They will be rated based on the rubric.

IV. EVALUATION
TEST I. IDENTIFICATION
Direction: Read the sentence carefully and identify what is being asked.
