A Detailed Lesson Plan

“SUPER FOODS”

I. OBJECTIVES
At the end of the lesson, the pupils should be able to:
A. Identify the different kinds of super foods.
B. Differentiate the super foods from junk foods.
C. Match the given foods according to its kind.

C. Materials: Pictures, Puzzle Pieces, Worksheets
D. Valuing: Importance of knowing about nutritious foods that makes us healthy.

III. PRELIMINARY ACTIVITIES

- Line up children. Go to your station.

Before we start our lesson for today, we’re
going to have our prayer first.
Kindly please all stand up.
Do the hands’ position for prayer.

Now, what are super foods?


Super foods - a nutrient-rich food considered to
be especially beneficial for health and well-
being. These are nutritious foods.
Now, I have here different pictures of super
foods.
(The teacher will let them to say what’s given.)

This is a fruit and it produces nutrients to our


body that makes us healthy.

This is a MALUNGGAY LEAVES.

This is a vegetable and it produces nutrients to

picture is a super food and Shake your hands if (The children will pick one house and will tell
it is not. what’s in the picture.)

H. GENERALIZATION

Today, we’ve learned about the different kinds


of super foods.
Super foods are all nutritious.

We have avocado, malunggay leaves, coconut,


ginger, sweet potato, mango, guava, bitter
gourd, salmon and papaya. These foods are
good for our health.

We should avoid eating too much junk foods,


instead, let’s always eat super foods.
