IIIT-NR conducted 6th edition of Industry-Academia Meet

On April 16, 2024, IIIT-NR hosted the sixth edition of its Industry-Academia Meet, bringing together a diverse
array of industry professionals, students, and academics at its campus in Atal Nagar. The event was marked by
its success in fostering a dynamic platform for the exchange of ideas, experiences, and knowledge.

Representatives from esteemed multinational corporations graced the occasion, with notable names including
Nutanix, Infosys, Cisco, Expedia Group, SigTuple, and Satkaam Foundation all in attendance. Their presence
underscored the significance of this collaborative effort between academia and industry.

Themed 'Technology Challenge Showcase,' IAM 2023 aimed to stimulate collaboration and explore avenues for
mutual growth. The distinguished panel of industry leaders featured Mr. Tusar Gupta, Director Engineering at
Nutanix; Mr. Sachin Agrawal, Senior Principal Technology Architect at Infosys; Mr. Rahul Pandey, Director
Software Engineering at Cisco; Mr. Sandeep Goyal, Director of Technology at Expedia Group; Ms. Suman
Gautam, Vice President of Business Growth at SigTuple; and Mr. Abhijit Bhide, Co-Founder of Satkaam
Foundation.

The event commenced with an inaugural address by Dr. Pradeep Kumar Sinha, the VC & Director of the
Institute, alongside renowned industry experts. Dr. Sinha elucidated on the genesis of IAM and IIIT's
commitment to bridging the gap between industry and academia through such initiatives.

A panel discussion on the theme "Future of Work in an AI World and the Way Forward for Freshers" ensued,
featuring insights from esteemed industry delegates. The discussion delved into the transformative impact of
AI across various sectors such as education, health, and content creation. Panelists emphasized AI's role in
driving innovation and propelling India towards its ambitious $5 trillion economy goal. They also underscored
the importance of equipping students with the requisite skills to thrive in an AI-driven landscape. Session was
moderated by Mr Abhijit Bhide. At the end of panel discussion, floor was made open for students questions to
the industry experts.

Students benefited immensely from the event, gaining valuable insights into the expectations and relevance of
their work to industry standards. The keynote speeches, panel discussions, and networking opportunities
collectively offered an enriching experience for students, faculty, and industry professionals alike. This
successful iteration of the Industry-Academia Meet further solidifies IIIT-NR's commitment to fostering
meaningful collaboration and innovation within the tech ecosystem.

डॉ श्यामा प्रसाद मुखर्जी इंटरनेशनल इंस्टिट्यूट ऑफ़ इनफर्मेशन टेक्नोलॉजी नया रायपुर ने 16 अप्रैल 2024 को अपने कैं पस में इंडस्ट्री-एके डेमिया मीट
का छठा संस्करण आयोजित किया। इस आयोजन का उद्देश्य छात्रों, एके डेमिया, और इंडस्ट्री के बीच में संवाद स्थित करना था, जिससे विचारों, अनुभवों
और ज्ञान का आदान-प्रदान लिए एक उत्कृ ष्ट मंच मिल सके ।

IAM 2024 विचारों को साझा करने और आपसी विकास के अवसरों को खोजने के लिए विशेष रूप से डिज़ाइन किया गया था। इस कार्यक्रम में
इंडस्ट्री से आये निम्नलिखित वक्ताओं ने भाग लिया: मिस्टर तुषार गुप्ता, न्यूटनिक्स के इंजीनियरिंग निदेशक; मिस्टर सचिन अग्रवाल, इंफोसिस के वरिष्ठ प्रिंसिपल
टेक्नोलॉजी आर्कि टेक्ट; मिस्टर राहुल पांडेय, सिस्को के सॉफ्टवेयर इंजीनियरिंग के निदेशक; मिस्टर संदीप गोयल, एक्सपीडिया ग्रुप के प्रौद्योगिकी के
निदेशक; मिस सुमन गौतम, सिगटुपल के वाइस प्रेसिडेंट; मिस्टर अभिजित भिड़े, सत्काम फाउंडेशन के सह-संस्थापक।

आयोजन की उद्घाटन समारोह में संस्थान के वीसी एंड डायरेक्टर, डॉ। प्रदीप कु मार सिन्हा ने कार्यक्रम का प्रारम्भ विभिन्न इंडस्ट्री डेलीगेट्स के अभिवादन से
किया I डॉ सिन्हा ने इंडस्ट्री-एके डेमिया मीट के उद्देश्यों को रेखांकित किया एवं एके डेमिया के लिए इसके बढ़ती उपयोगिता पर भी प्रकाश डाला I उन्होंने IIIT में लिए गए
उन सभी कदमों का भी उल्लेख किया जिसके द्वारा संसथान ने आपने सभी ग्रेजुएट होने वाले स्टू डेंट्स को इंडस्ट्री की आवश्यकता अनुसार तैयार किया I

कार्यक्रम की शरुआत "एआई दुनिया में काम का भविष्य और फ्रे शर्स के लिए आगे की दिशा" विषय पर एक पैनल चर्चा के रूप में आयोजित की
गई, जिसमें उद्योग के प्रतिनिधियों से जानकारियों का आदान-प्रदान हुआ। चर्चा में एआई के रूप में विभिन्न क्षेत्रों जैसे कि शिक्षा, स्वास्थ्य, और सामग्री
निर्माण में पड़ने वाले परिवर्तनात्मक प्रभाव पर प्रकाश डाला गया। पैनल ने एआई की भूमिका पर जोर देते हुए बताया कि इसका अभिव्यक्ति किसी भी क्षेत्र में
अद्भुत समाधान को ला सकती है । उन्होंने भारत को एक $5 ट्रिलियन अर्थव्यवस्था की दिशा में ले जाने के लिए एआई को सबसे बड़ा ड्राइवर बताया।
पैनलिस्टों ने छात्रों को एआई-नियंत्रित विश्व व्यवस्था में तैयार रहने एवं अपने को इस नए क्षेत्र में विकसित करने के लिए अपने कौशल-विकास पर कार्य करने के लिए
प्रेरित किया ।

छात्रों को इस परिचर्चा से मूल्यवान ज्ञान अनुभव प्राप्त हुआ जिसमे वे सब उद्योग के बदलते मानकों के प्रति सचेत हो सके और अपने आप को भी उसी दिशा
में तैयार कर सकें । कार्यक्रम का उद्देश्य मुख्य रूप से छात्रों एवं शिक्षकों को उद्योग के पेशेवरों से संवाद स्थापित करना था। कार्यक्रम में मुख्य रूप से भाषण, पैनल
चर्चा, और नेटवर्किं ग का आयोजन किया गया। यह इंडस्ट्री-एके डेमिया मीट IIIT-NR विज़न को दर्शाता है, जो कि संस्थान के अर्थपूर्ण सहयोग और नवाचार
को बढ़ावा देने के लिए प्रतिबद्ध है।

डॉ अमित कु मार अग्रवाल और डॉ शैलेश खापरे, सहायक प्रोफे सर, इस कार्यक्रम के फै कल्टी कोऑर्डिनेटर थे I दोनों ने इस तरह के कार्यक्रम को भविष्य में भी करने
कि आशा व्यक्त कि जिससे छात्रों को हमेशा इंडस्ट्री का मार्गदर्शन प्राप्त होते रहे और वे अपने को भीतर तरीके से इंडस्ट्री के लिए तैयार कर सकें
