“Kaamulan” is from the Binukid word “amul” which means “to gather”. It is a gathering of Bukidnon tribespeople for a purpose. It is to celebrates the customs and traditions of the seven (7) tribal groups that originally inhabited the Bukidnon region, namely, the Bukidnon, Higaonon, Talaandig, Manobo, Matigsalug, Tigwahanon and Umayamnon. Drum and Lyre competition is an event where temas showcase their skills. The Drum and Lyre Competition is one of the event of Kaamulan. Drum and Lyre Competition held on April 06, 2024, which have two (2) categories, namely, Elementary Category and Secondary Category.
2. TABUK Educational Assistance Program
The Educational Cash Assistance Program is to help the students with school expenses. This cash assistance can be used by the students to pay their book, allowance, and other related expenses. The word “TABUK” means “TAga BUKidnon”. The TABUK Educational Assistance Program was a great success, providing much needed financial support to students, specifically, college students who is bonafide resident in Bukidnon. It happens every semester and have 8,000 slots. On April 05, 2024, happened the 2 nd semester cash assistance. A lot of college students waited to post the link in order to register and reserved a slot because it is limited only. There’s a lot of students who can’t register because in just less than 10 minutes, the link was already not accepting applicants due to the availability of slots.
