NARRATIVE REPORT ON PTA PROJECT FOR A.Y. 2023-2024 (STEEL FENCE)

I. Introduction

The School Parent’s Teachers Association or SPTA of Tuktukan Elementary

School has contributed for the welfare and interest of the students, teachers and parents
The SPTA also ensures the quality of education and ensure the well-being of the
students. Almost all the projects of PTA were mostly seen in the entire school vicinity
such as chairs, signboard and other project that will benefit the school as defined in DO
No. 13 s. 2022 entitled Omnibus Guidelines on the Rules and Regulation of the
Operations of the Parent-Teachers Association or SPTA.
This school year, under the leadership of Mr. Edward Andaya, PTA president and
under the guidance of Mrs. Jocelyn E. Bernardo, PTA Adviser, planned to put steel
fences as project of PTA officers for the school year.
The PTA officers’ reason why they choose steel fences as their project for this
school year is that to limit the access of the people while the court was in use for school
events like graduation, sports fest and field demo and to limit the parents from staying at
the stage area and to prevent unauthorized vehicles from entering the school premises.

The project was launched last November 10, 2023 during the General SPTA
Meeting. Mr. Edwin Andaya, SPTA president, explained about their proposed project, its
purpose and how it will be done and also how the budget will obtain.

In General Meeting, the SPTA officers and parents agreed on organizing a

pageant and this will be called “King and Queen of Hearts” which was conducted in the
month of February. Through the tickets sales for the event, they were able to raise funds
for the steel fence and for the future projects. Each participants were given P3000.00
worth of tickets and it was divided into three (3) canvasses. These tickets serves as a
raffle ticket where there will be a major and minor prizes. Each candidates is entitled to
be the next King and Queen of Hearts 2024 as one of major awards, followed by Best in
Talent, Mr,/Ms. Photogenic and Best attires.

The pageant was held on Feb. 16, 2024, which the candidates show their beauty,
talents and brains. And during the pageant, there was a raffle in which the tickets were
drawn for prizes.

The cost of the steel fence was P 87,000 (Eighty-Seven Thousand Pesos) and it
was completed at it was first used during the field demo last March 1, 2024. Today this
steel fence was used to prevent the parents from staying at the stage and it will be used
by the school in future activity.
