RESOLUTION NO. 09
Series 2024

A resolution requesting the office of the Hon. Timoteo Galanza, Municipal Mayor, Gamu,
Isabela, to cause and facilitate the allocation of funds for various programs and activities aimed at
promoting the heritage, cultures, and traditions of the Municipality and the barangay.

WHEREAS, it is the desire of the members of this council to promote cultures and heritage
awareness and to promote the distinct identity of the contribution of the Barangay to the progress
of the Municipality;

WHEREAS, in revisiting the roots and values of the people of this Barangay, we have
spearheaded the celebration of our Harvest Festival” AGIBUNUBON TI PANAGKAYKAYSA,
APITEN TI NARANG-AY NGA AGSAPA” to be held on April 28-30, 2024, showcasing the
Interzone Basketball Tournament, Cultural nights, and Ms. Teen Union 2024;

WHEREAS, the cash advance of Fifty thousand pesos (50,000.00) will disburse under the
MOOE budget to support the expenses for the celebration of the annual Fiesta, and to be reimburse
within the SK fund allocated for cultural activities.
Estimated Financial/Budgetary Requirements :

1. Inter-zone Basketball Tournament P 34,000.00

2. Cultural Night
3. Beauty Pageant

WHEREAS, the Municipality of Gamu has passed the Resolution No. 235 appropriating
funds for the conduct of the various activities in the promotion of heritage, cultures, and traditions
of the Municipality and its Barangays to enhance local craftsmanship that would encourage
tourism and economic growth;

RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, that the members of the Barangay

Council hereby respectfully request the Honorable Timoteo Galanza, Municipal Mayor, to cause
and facilitate the granting of the financial assistance to be used on various cultural activities;

RESOLVED FINALLY, that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to the Honorable

Timoteo Galanza, Municipal Mayor, for his information and favorable consideration.

“RESOLUTION REQUESTING FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO HON. EDGAR “EGAY” R.

CAPUCHINO BOARD MEMBER 2nd DISTRICT OF THE PROVINCE OF ISABELA FOR
THE PURCHASE OF 1 UNIT 32” SMART INTERNET TV FOR BARANGAY HEALTH
CENTER, BARANGAY UNION, GAMU ISABELA.”

WHEREAS, the specific provision of RA 7160 otherwise known as the Local Government Code of
1991, delegated functions and responsibilities to local government units (LGU’s), primarily on the
effective and efficient delivery of services and facilities at the local level;
WHEREAS, there is an urgent need to provide fund assistance to LGU’s in order to alleviate their
financial burdens in carrying out the devolved functions and responsibilities, as specified by the
code
WHEREAS, the Sangguniang Barangay of Union, Gamu, Isabela lacks the financial capability to
implement the aforementioned purchase of 1 unit of 32” SMART TV for Barangay Health Station.
WHEREAS, the residents of Barangay Union recognize the importance of modern communication
and information dissemination;

WHEREAS, a Smart TV would enhance community engagement, facilitate educational programs,

and promote transparency within our barangay;
WHEREAS, the barangay council has deliberated on the matter and acknowledges the need for a
Smart TV;

NOW THEREFORE, on motion of Kagawad Rodel M. Ramos duly seconded by all, it was;
RESOLVED FURTHER, the copies of this resolution shall be furnished to the order concerned for
their information and appropriate action.
