Course Description:
This course deals with the knowledge of industrial equipment used in garment manufacturing; their care and maintenance, parts and functions, preparation for operation,
stitch adjustments, cleaning and lubrication, trouble shooting and repair.

Course Policies
The policies listed below may change throughout the semester adopting the principle of flexibility and considering the country’s health situation and other concerns. Students are
responsible for learning about these changes by keeping abreast with the announcements which shall be posted on the course site/messenger chat group.

Ethical Policies: Students are expected to act with decorum in communicating with the teacher and classmates face to face. Proper etiquette is expected.
Academic Integrity Policy: Plagiarism shall not be tolerated. Students caught submitting papers copied from others and presenting them as their own shall be given a failing

Policies on Absences and Tardiness: According to CHED policy, total number of absences by the students should not be more than 20% of the total number of meetings or 7
Hours for a two-unit-course. Students incurring more than 7 hours of unexcused absences automatically gets a failing grade regardless of class standing. This policy is applicable
only for residential (face-to-face) mode of instruction delivery.
Language of Instruction: Given the nature of our course, the language of instruction is English. Filipino may be used with the permission of the teacher from time to time. Bikol
is discouraged because students come from various provinces with different dialects.
Use of Mobile Phones and Gadgets: Since we are using now a full face to face mode of learning, students are still expected to have the necessary gadgets to access course
materials and for communication. They shall inform the teacher if they have problems accessing the Messenger Group Chat/course site. She can be reached by

Special/Examinations/Work: Special examinations will be given on a case-to-case basis. Students shall inform the teacher if they cannot submit the requirements on time.
Statement on Student Wellness: Student wellness shall be our utmost priority. If in any case a course requirement will impact the health of a student, he or she must inform the
teacher immediately.
Advising and Support: Students may contact the teacher anytime for advising and support. The teacher will strive to reply to concerns promptly during consultation hours and
class schedule, but there may be instances when replies may take some time. This can happen if the faculty is on a meeting/activity/travel and when queries are sent in the middle
of the night or during weekends.
