ROOM SERVICE SCRIPT

TAKING THE ORDER

[Telephone Rings & Attendant Answers]

Attendant: Room Service. Good morning/afternoon/evening, this is Pen How may I help you
today?

Guest: Hi, I would like to order a snack and drink.

Attendant: Sure S/M. May I have your name and room number, please?

Guest: (Provides name and room number)

Attendant: Thank you, S/M_________ What snack and drinks would you like today? We have 3
selections for snacks and drinks, for snacks, a Tuna Sandwich with nachos, a
Kimbap with kimchi, and a Cheeseburger with fries, for drinks, we have carbonated
drinks, Pineapple Juice, and Gulaman. Which do you prefer Ma’am/Sir?

Guest: (Order 1 snack and 1 drink)

Attendant: What time would you like to deliver your food?

Guest: (Mention what time)

Attendant: Okay Ma’am/Sir, How would you like to settle your bill? Do you want to charge it with
your Room account? Ma’am?/Sir? Or Do you prefer cash or cashless transactions?

Guest: I’ll pay in cash

Attendant: Okay S/M, may I repeat your order for some clarifications and corrections. You are
S/M _____from room __________ you ordered ________(Snack name) and
a_________(Drink name) drink to be delivered at _________(Time) which cost
__________(Total price of Snack & drink) And you will pay in cash. Did I get your
order correct S/M?

Guest: Yes, it is correct

Attendant: May I know the denomination of your cash S/M? So that I can bring your exact
change.

Guest: (Mentions denomination)

Attendant: Is there anything else Ma’am/Sir?

Guest: No, that's all. Thank you.

Attendant: Thank you for calling SICAT Hotel Room Service Have a great day

[End call]
IN-PERSON ROOM DELIVERY

Attendant: (Brings food, service wares, water goblet with coaster, vase napkin, bill and
acknowledgement receipt on a tray or trolley)

(gently yet loudly knock on the door and say Room service! After 3 seconds repeat
until they open the door)

Guest: (Opens the door)

Attendant: Good morning/afternoon/evening, I am Pen from Room Service and I’m here to
deliver your order. May I come in?

Guest: Yes, you can come in

Attendant: Ma’am/Sir Would you like me to set it up on the table or leave it on the trolly?

Guest: Just leave it on the table

Attendant: Would you like me to open the light or the curtain Sir/Ma’am?

Guest: No, Just leave it close

Attendant: Okay Ma’am/Sir Here’s your Bill and acknowledgment receipt. could you please affix
your signature on the receipt.

Guest: (Signs the Receipt)

Attendant: and your change ma’am/sir

Guest: (hands over and pays the bill)

Attendant: Thank You Ma’am/Sir, What time would you like me to bus out the service wares?

Guest: (Mention what time)

Attendant: Is there anything else Ma’am/Sir?

Guest: There’s none

Attendant: Okay Ma’am/Sir I’ll be back at ______(Time for bussing the service wares) Enjoy
your meal. I will now leave the room.

BUSSING OUT SERVICE WARES

Attendant: (Brings Tray or Trolly)

(gently yet loudly knock on the door and say Room service! After 3 seconds repeat
until they open the door)

Guest: (Opens the door)

Attendant: Good morning/afternoon/evening, I am Pen (name) from Room Service and I’m here
to bus out the service wares. May I come in?
Guest: Yes, you can come in

Attendant: May I now bus out the Service wares Ma’am/Sir?

Guest: Sure

Attendant: During bussing out ask “May I inquire how was your snack Ma’am/Sir?”

Guest: (Comment on the food)

Attendant: Thanks for the complement, S/M. Is there anything else Ma’am/Sir?

Guest: There’s None

Attendant: Thank you Ma’am/Sir, I will now leave the room, Good bye and have a nice day/
