 Farmland on three sides of the site on the east side there is canal which is passing through
Mhadas dam.
 Ulhas river near the a site.

 Circulation : 4 m wide pathway leads to

the site .

to the existing structure.

The Murbad - Malshej State Highway (222).

Presently around five thousand trees on the site .
of which around three thousand are mango trees , few
drumstick trees ,
few plam trees, few ashoka trees, few ajwain plantation .

PURPOSE OF SITE SELECTION:

The project is residential school . residential schools has
its own world hence it is prefrable for it to be cut off from
the urban as well as rural settlements .

CULTURE

Murbad Taluka is settled in the natural depression of

Sahyadri Hills. It has been developed as a tourist destination
. A historical memorial event, "Mhasa Jatra", happens near
here annually during which Lakhs of people visit Murbad.
Mhasa Jatra (Yatra) is held on Paush (10th month of Hindu
Marathi calendar) Purnima (Full Moon Day), which is
approximately in the month of January every year.
EDUCATION:
As of 2001 India census average literacy rate of murbad is 73%.
