Korištenje tehnologije je nužna kompetencija svakoga učitelja i
alat kojim se odgojno-obrazovni proces pospješuje i
osuvremenjuje.

S obzirom da se cijeloživotno učenje često provodi u

neakademskim okruženjima, ona su često orijentirana na učenike
nego na same učitelje.

Učitelji djeluju u složenom društvenom kontekstu koji se brzo mijenja,

sam proces cjeloživotnog učenja je značajan za njihovu profesiju.

U istraživanju koje je provedeno u Kantonu Sarajevo,

prema samoiskazu za ingformacijsku i medijsku
pismenost dobijeni su sljedeći rezultati:

zaključuje se kako današnji učitelji u tom procesu trebaju steći određene kvalitete,
odnosno kompetencije jer se mijenja naglasak na dosadašnjima i javlja se takozvana
nova kompetencija: spremnost i otvorenost ka promjenama kao jedna od najvažnijih za
osobni i profesionalni razvoj.

Učenje koje se temelji na multimedijskoj tehnologiji i takvom pristupu postaje

sve više popularno, što je u skladu s galopirajućom informatizacijom društva i
životom u tzv. ''informatičkoj eri''.

Multimedijsko obrazovanje demonstrira principe uspješnog poučavanja i učenja koji

su nužno potrebiti dio reorjentacije obrazovanja ka održivoj budućnosti, odnosno
upućuje na činjenicu da ovaj tip stjecanja znanja nastoji osigurati da sam medij za
učenje predstavlja i dio poruke učenja.

Društvene mreže se u današnje vrijeme smatraju globalnim komunikacijskim

fenomenom, a neke od najpoznatijih su: facebook, instagram, youtube, twitter i
druge.

e-Škole: Cjelovita informatizacija procesa

poslovanja škola i nastavnih procesa u svrhu
stvaranja digitalno zrelih škola za 21. stoljeće.

Obrazovanje se mora prilagoditi u skladu s

gospodarskim i tehnološkim razvojem koji sve više
zahtijeva proces elektroničkog učenja te isto tako
mora dati nužne informacije i razvijati vještine i
kompetencije uz najveću fleksibilnost i najniže
troškove.

Sve veći trend nastave na daljinu nije

posljedica samo razvoja tehnologije, već i
promjena društvene i ekonomske prirode
suvremenog društva.
''Informacijska pismenost (eng. information literacy)
obuhvaća uviđanje važnosti i potrebe za
informacijom te posjedovanje znanja kako pronaći,
procijeniti i iskoristiti informacije u svrhu rješavanja
određenoga problema ili donošenja odluke.''

Uz tradicionalnu pismenost koja obuhvata

vještine kao što su čitanje, pisanje i računanje,

omogućuje razvijanje vještina višega red i
cilja informacijske pismenosti, a to je učiti
kako učiti.
