ANOTHER EXAMPLES: • Alexander Graham Bell invented the telephone. • The chef prepared a delicious meal. • A student wrote the winning essay. PATTERN FOR ACTIVE VOICE • The pattern of an active voice is subject (doer) +verb +object (receiver) PASSIVE VOICE • Passive Voice is formed by combining some form of the verb be ( be, am, is, are, was, were, being, been) with the past participle of a given verb. EXAMPLE: • The chocolate was given to Maria by the teacher. ANOTHER EXAMPLES • The winning essay was written by a student. • The Telephone was invented by Alexander Graham Bell. • A delicious meal was prepared by the chef. APPLICATION • Rewrite the sentence changing the voice from active to passive and vice versa.
