Usa ka adlaw na
kigsangkay hi Bao kan
Karabaw. Tumawa la
hi karabaw ngan
namarikat diritso
siring “ An karuyag ko
ngan sangkay parehas
gihap ha akon kadako
ngan kakusog.”
Nabido hi Bao han
siring ni Karabaw.
Salit gin-ayat lugod
ni Bao hi Karabaw
hin palanat katob ha
ika-lima nga bukid.
Sinmige liwat hi
karabaw.
Nakig-istorya hi Bao
dida han iya upat nga
kasangkayan nga
kabaohan. Gin-hangyo
niya an kada-usa nga
lumugar tikang ha ika-
duha ngadto ha ika-lima
nga bukid.
Dida han adlaw
han ira palanat,
nauna gudman hi
karabaw han
syahan nga
bukid.
Pagsangpot ha ika
duha ngadto han
ikalima nga bukid,
nahipausa hiya nga
nakadto na hi Bao
nga iya paghuna an
iya na pangontra.
Hinungdan han iya
kaawod nga napirdi hiya
Nasina hi Karabao ngan
iya ginbanyakan hi Bao
hin makusog. Matig-a an
bungkod ni Bao salit naul-
ulan hiya. Nabuka lugod
iya kulo han pagbanyaki
niya han Bao.
 The Turtle and the Carabao
One day the turtle wants to be friend
with the carabao. The Carabao just smiled,
frowned and said “ I want to have friend who
is big and strong like me.”
The turtle got hurt with what the carabao
said. So he ask the carabao to compete with
him up to the fifth mountain. The carabao
agreed.
The turtle talks with his other four turtle
friends. He requested each one to be at the
second up to the fifth mountain.
On the day of their race the carabao was
first race the carabo was first in the first
mountain.
On the second up to the fifth mountain,
the carabao was surprise that the turtle was
already there thinking that it was his
opponent.
To his shame that he lost the game he
kick the turtle. But the turtle’s back is hard, so
