Karbala
Imam Hussain (AS) planned to visit the Holy Kabbah in Makkah On his way he found out that evil men wanted to kill him in the Kabbah. You are not allowed to kill anybody in the Kaabah. Imam Hussain (AS) changed his plan and did Umrah mufradah instead of doing Hajj. He then bid goodbye and went toward Karbala.

Imam Hussain (AS) travelled by horse and camel for a distance of about 1000 miles from Makkah to Karbala. They walked about 35 miles daily. He did this in order to protect the real Islam. He did not agree with the false Islam being taught by the evil illegitimate oppressors of that time. He wanted the religion of his grandfather (Prophet Mohammed PBUH & HP) to be safe. During the event of Karbala Imam Hussain (AS) was tested with loss of wealth. He left everything he had behind him. He was tested with the fear of permanent loss of the religion of Islam. He was tested by hunger. The evil army stopped food and drink from reaching the camp of Imam Hussain(as) for three days. They had no fruits, food or drink left in the end. He was tested by loss of life.
