Define set point, load variable and process variable of a control system. Derive the transfer function of a mercury-in-glass thermometer system. A thermometer having a time constant of 0.1 min at a steady state temperature of 900 F. At time t = 0, the thermometer is placed in a temperature bath maintained at 1000 F. Determine time needed for thermometer to read 960 F. Define servomechanism type problem and explain it with help of an example. Determine the transfer function for the liquid level non interacting systems.
