Religion: We went to church on Thursday. We found the statues of St. Viator. One is inside the church and one is outside of the church. We are learning about the Mass in our religion book.

Reminders
*Nightly homework begins on Monday. Children will have a green Take Home folder and the assignment book on Monday. These things must be returned to school each day. *September Book Order is due Wednesday, September 11. *Wednesday is Picture Day. No uniforms-everyone will have a picture taken.

Superkids: We are reviewing short vowel sounds and rhyming words. We read another story about Golly this week. We wrote about things we like and drew pictures of ourselves.
Math: We are counting groups of objects and comparing the groups using math vocabulary words: more than and fewer than. Science: We are learning about our 5 senses. We read a Magic Schoolbus book about using your senses. We watched a video from Discovery Education about our senses. Journal Writing: We finished our first journal this week. We will write in journals at least once a week.
