CALL TO ORDER

Meeting was called to order at 3:35 pm by President Saundra King via teleconference.

OLD BUSINESS

Approval of March 18 minutes The meeting scheduled for April 16 was canceled. Moved
(Nancy/Gary) that the minutes of the March meeting be approved as distributed Passed.
Treasurer's Report We discussed newsletter expenses. Saundra reported that we receive
approximately $200 per month from National. William said that our printing expenses are usually
around $130 per month (for 125 copies), though this may drop next month to around $104 as unpaid
members are dropped. This is for 240 members, dropping to 202. Postage for a 1-ounce newsletter is
around $58, or $84 if over 1 ounce. So the newsletter expenses roughly match the income from
National. About half of our members already receive the newsletter electronically; if more members do
so, we would reduce our expenses correspondingly.
Testing Saundra reported that we have received few names for testing, and the tests are currently
offered quarterly. We might get 5-6 signed up for testing, but only 1-2 will appear and Saundra has not
recognized any of the news as new members. Most of these have been younger people, but they are
discouraged when they ask about the age range of the current membership.
Scholarship No update from National regarding their scholarship winners, though this is expected
soon. We should get verification of intent to attend college from our winners is an acceptance letter
from the college sufficient? Nancy will prepare certificates to present with the awards, and the winning
entry will be included in the Channel M.
Other Old Business Meeting time: This meeting was scheduled for 3:30 pm, which is usually
acceptable for all except Gary. The June meeting will be scheduled for 4:00 pm, and Marcia will be
consulted as she will be joining the ExComm.

NEW BUSINESS

Nominating Committee Saundra presented a report from Kevin O'Gorman that there were no declared
candidates other than those named by the Nominated Committee, and that therefore the nominated slate
of candidates was declared elected and will assume office on July 1, 2015. The new ExComm
members will be Saundra King, Vaughan Parker, Nancy Bowen, William Noack, and Marcia
Muggelberg.
Pizza Party Last year's pizza party was quite successful (among other things, we got William
involved in the newsletter and the ExComm). A pizza party for this year was set for Sunday, July 12.
We will include members who did not renew their membership this year (Saundra will check to see if
we have those names available already, or if we can get them from National). The date for the pizza
party was selected partly in the hopes that some members who attended this year's AG will attend and
give a report.
