Religion: We are learning more about Advent, the

Christmas story, and Our Lady of Guadalupe. We
gathered with Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd
graders for an Advent prayer service celebrating
the second week of Advent. We read the story A
Stocking for Jesus. Each class received a stocking
to hang in the classroom. Students in each
classroom are filling the stocking with gifts of
kindness for Jesus.
Reading: We are working with short and long
vowel sounds. We are reading and writing words
with silent e. We are working with plurals (adding s
and es) and possessives (adding s to nouns). We
are writing in our December journals.
