We’re ready to delve,
Into week number twelve!
Parent-Teacher conferences are
this week November 16-18. The
conference schedule is posted on the bulletin board
on our classroom door, and a notice was sent home
last week indicating your time slot. Each
conference is expected to last no longer than 15
minutes. I look forward to meeting with you!
No book order forms will be sent home this month
annual Book
because we will be hosting our
Fair this week! It will take place right here
at school in the church fellowship hall from
Monday, November 15 through Friday,
November 19. As was mentioned previously, this
year is a used book fair with the books being
provided by you--our school and church families.
We are still accepting book donations. You are
encouraged to shop this week between the hours of
3 PM and 5PM. Because the books are used we
will be able to offer them at wonderfully discounted
prices.
By the time you receive this our book fair food
drive will have ended, but we still welcome
additional food donations . The
canned food items will be donated to a local food
bank after Thanksgiving. This is an on-going
ministry of our church.
On Sunday, November 20 from 2-4 PM we will
be hosting a kindergarten open house. Please
refer anyone you know who may be interested in
learning more about our kindergarten or Jr. K
programs.
Don’t forget the kindergarten classes sing at
the late service this Sunday, November
21. We ask that you wait outside the classroom
while your child practices our song at 11:00
AM. Then proceed to the church with your child.

Zoo-Phonics News
We’re ready to jump and jiggle our way through
another great letter this week—the letter /j/
for Jerry jellyfish! Listen for a new and
interesting way we are going to learn to greet
one another that starts with /j/.
Do you know someone who can
juggle? We’d love for him/her to show us
how they do it. This week would be perfect,
but any time would do.
Other Classroom News
Get ready to meet another seemingly formidable
foe—Goliath. In the account of David and Goliath
we’re reminded to walk by faith not by sight
when facing life’s challenges. Then we see the
compassion King David shows to Mephibosheth—
try saying that name five times fast! 
This week in math it will get a little “nutty” as we
use unshelled nuts to practice sorting, patterning
and graphing.
