This week well finish focusing on Bubba bear and on Thursday well move on to Catina cat. Well also start working on distinguishing left from right. See if you can incorporate the concept of left and right in your childs day. Such as asking him/her to put the fork on the left side of the plate, asking your child to show you their right foot when its time for shoes or helping him/her think about which hand they use to hold their toothbrush. Watch for the to be coming home in your childs folder

soon.

An offering envelope is attached for our weekly chapel offering. Remember our goal is only 25 cents per child per week. That amounts to less than $10/child for the entire school year! Although offerings are completely voluntary, this is a great opportunity to teach your child about sharing the blessings God has so richly given each of us. Offerings may be sent in anytime and placed in the Thanks jar on my desk. Our church is offering a few wonderful opportunities for fellowship and study of Gods Word. Each Wednesday morning there is a womens Bible study from 8:30-9:30 AM led by Pastor Bork. A Bible Information Class just started as well. We also have a Marriage Fiesta sponsored by our couples ministry that will occur Saturday, Sept. 24. Please let me know if youd like more information on any of these great opportunities.

animal crackers by Friday, September 16.

Please send in your childs box of After eating the cookies in class (yum!) we will use these boxes for storing some small alphabet letter pieces. Look for the small red box of Barnums Animal cookies in the cookie aisle of your grocery store. Last year I found them at Safeway and Nob Hill, but let me know if you have trouble finding them. I have a few extras on hand. Have you asked your child to teach you Allie and Bubbas signals? They could probably show you more than that if you refer to the list from your welcome back packet. They sure are learning fast!

What a faithful God we have who always watches over us and protects us through the challenges and perils of life in a sinful world. In math we will continue with the many aspects of the calendar and start working with sorting and matching colors and shapes. Were working on learning our birthdays. Does your child know the month or day of his/hers yet? Next week on Monday there will be a free hearing screening in which the Jr. K will participate. This is a quick assessment of your childs hearing done by professional hearing screeners. For more information contact Mrs. LaRont in the office or me.
