put Greg Gianforte into the Montana Governor position.

Aaron Flint no longer hosting Voices of Montana

After hosting the Voices of
Montana statewide talk show for
six years, Aaron Flint has made the
decision to take a new opportunity
outside of broadcasting.
Yesterday morning, October
7th, Flint hosted his final talk show
from a live townhall meeting of the

Montana Electric Cooperatives

Association in Great Falls.

In a surprise move, Aaron made
the announcement to his audience
at the end of the show saying, This
is going to be my last show on the
Voices of Montana. I have decided
to take on a great opportunity

for Montana and help out with

the Greg Gianforte exploratory
campaign for Governor.

Journalism from the University

National Guard: to
Iraq, Afghanistan, and
the Horn of Africa.
He also worked on the
Washington, D.C. staff
of former Sen. Conrad
Burns (R - Montana).
Following
his
announcement
that
he is moving on,
Rocky Erickson, News
Director at Northern
Broadcasting, got on air with Aaron and the two
recapped some of the great moments on the talk
show over the last six years. Members of the Montana
Electric Cooperative also thanked Aaron Flint for his
support in sharing their mission.

Taylor Brown, owner of Northern Broadcasting
System, remarked of the transition, We have
appreciated Aarons service for the past six years and
are very proud of the way that he has helped to grow
the impact of Montanas state-wide talk show.
Montanas only state-wide talk show has had a
great history of prominent hosts:
1998 Rob Natelson was the first host of the
program for almost two years.
1999 David Berg took over when Rob Natelson
went off the air to campaign for Governor.
2008 After nine years, David Berg retired, and
Dave Rye began as host in April 2008.
2009 Aaron Flint began to host the show in
September after he returned from military
deployment to Afghanistan with the National
Guard.

Although a permanent replacement has not yet
been confirmed, Northern Broadcasting has asked
Billings broadcaster Jon Arneson to continue to fillin for Flint at this time. Arneson has acted as host for
the talk show intermittently over the past three years
during Flints military deployments.
You may remember Jon Arnesons voice on
KLTZ/KLAN once upon a time before moving on to
Glendive and then to Billings where he has been in
radio and television since 2000. He lives in Laurel
where he and his wife Melani have three kids, four
cats and two dogs.
