What did you learn from your From my secondary research that I have completed I have learnt
research? a lot about my topic and I have noticed that this has become

How has the research into your target
audience helped you improve your
ideas?
By looking at my target audience, it has helped me greatly in
working out what questions to ask in my interview. Whilst my
target audience is very broad in regards to age range, I want to
give them all the same insight into the sport and my interview will
reflect that objective. For example the questions that I ask will still
provide a good insight despite the audience’s knowledge of the
sport.

How has the research into your
platform helped you improve your
ideas?
Other pros of uploading to YouTube are it increases awareness as
there are well over 1 billion YouTube users, so this will help with
reaching out to people and gaining exposure. This is also great
potential to go viral, many videos on YouTube go viral daily, and
therefore this is a good chance to gain viewers. Videos on
YouTube can also be shared in any way imaginable, on social
media, via messaging and emails etc., and this is another great
way to gain awareness and viewers. Videos can also be
watched on the go, so mobile phone users who are often using
their phone will have the chance to see the video being
advertised.

What have you learned from your
test shoots? How will you use these
ideas in your production?
From the test shoots I have been able to prepare myself for the
filming week when I need to film all my interviews and my pieces
to camera. After doing the test shoots I am now confident when
it comes to the rule of thirds and the 180 degree rule. This will help
me massively in my production as it will help my production look
professional.
What work do you need to complete I am up to date with all my current work
outside of lessons to stay on track?

● ‘relevant & coherent’ – make sure your research sources are not just the same as the Media
product you hope to make - and talk about how they inform your planning
● ‘sustained’ – continue your research throughout the eleven-week project and don’t just limit it to
the first two weeks
