Bailey Morgan observed a 4k class at Blacksburg Primary School from 8:50-9:50 AM on March 10, 2020. During centers time, Bailey focused on a student who was using critical thinking skills to build a car out of blocks, trying different designs until figuring out how to make it roll. Bailey reflected that observing the student problem-solve was significant for learning how critical thinking develops during play.

During this hour of my experience my
class was in their centers area. I focused on working with the student in the picture. She was working with a problem-solving activity with building blocks, like legos. She was using critical thinking to try and build a car. She tried for so long and finally figured out how to make it roll.
