    Exam Requirements

    In order to continue your Bachelor’s degree in education at UNLV, NSC, or UNR, you must first

    pass the Praxis Core Academic Skills for Educators Exam. The passing score for the reading

    section is 156, the passing score for writing is 162, and lastly, the passing score for mathematics

    is 150.

    Exam Preparation

    In all honesty, I did not do much to prepare for this exam. I did read a little bit about the exam

    and its requirements in order to pass.

    Exam Results

    In reading, I scored in the 46% range which means I need significant improvement. In writing, I

    scored in the 65% range which means I need some improvement, and lastly, in math, I scored in

    the 22% range which means I need significant improvement.

    Future Exam Preparation

    I will definitely take the time to prepare myself for this exam next time. I definitely rushed this

    practice test. Next time, I will use all available resources such as ED ready for math and

    registering for Practice Core Review courses offered at CSN. Taking this practice exam showed

    me how difficult it was for me and how valuable the resources that are available to me are.
