Why choose a career education?

When I was young, I always dreamed to

become a teacher. For me, teaching is the
best profession among other jobs. It is an ideal
job that a person could have because a
teacher, wherever she may go, remains a
teacher and always be given respect by
everyone.

So whenever I meet educators, I am getting

motivated to push through my aspiration as a
teacher in the real setting. No matter how
much effort and time you rendered for this
profession, it’s worth it when you have known that you help a lot of children who are
hungry for information. I believe through education everything is possible to change for
the better. It’s also a great feeling that through teaching you have touched one’s lives
and influenced them to be a better version of themselves.

Well, I’m in my halfway to my career; I enjoy working with foreign learners specifically
basing from Japan, Korea, China, Russia, and Iran. In fact, I’ve reached about 5 years
in teaching face to face and through online with the use of Skype. Although this is not in
line with my degree, I feel that teaching is really meant for me. I never thought that I
have these skills that bring me this far.With my passion and determination ,I am
pursuing this DPE( Diploma of Professional Education) program to get a teacher’s
licence and be officially called a teacher.

Moreover, “Education as a career is life” , as what John Dewey said. We never stop
learning though we grow old. As a teacher,it is a responsibility to impart the right
knowledge and lead them to the path that they will take.As the world changes,the
knowledge that the teacher shares will be a legacy in which the other generation can
still acknowledge it and better use it in the future.
My Educational Philosophy
Job Held

I am currently working as an ESL instructor in QQenglish which is situated at Skyrise

4,IT Park Lahug Cebu City. The nature of my job is mainly dealing with different
learners globally through skype (online) and sometimes face to face(offline) specially in
Asian and somewhere in Middle-East countries namely ; Japan,China,Taiwan,South
Korea, Iran ,Russian and Brazil. Aside from that, I am also handling university students
in Japan and China to teach IELTS,an English Proficiency test , which is considered as
one of the big accounts in the company.

I’ve been working in this field for more than five years .I find it enjoyable while knowing
the student’s different cultures. I feel like having an adventurous journey assuming that
I’ve been to places that I’ve never visited in life.

Meritrous Achievement/s

During my first 6 months in QQenglish, I received a

certificate for Bi-annual attendance and a cash
incentive. Then I was chosen to join in a special team –
IELTS and CALLAN (the best market in the company)to
university students mainly in Japan.

Skills,Interest and Accomplishments

I finished a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology in Trade-Tech International

Science Institute. I have enough background about computer like using Microsoft
Applications,HTML and some basic computer programming languages. Other than that,
I am fond of learning foreign languages like Nihonggo and Hangeol.

For my stress reliever, I like to sing and listen to songs. In my free time, I can play
indoor games like scrabble and text twist games.
