THE BUSINESS AND BACKGROUND

The business has been established among engineer to service major contract in Civil Engineering with
the focus on cast-in-situ piling, precast piling, load test, deep tube well and civil as well as mechanical
work.
Due to the lack of development especially in the rural areas, roads as with several other basic
infrastructure and humanitarian needs, the government is committed in investing money in the
development of the rural areas to bring them in line with other developed areas.
Afra Corporation Ltd. has been established by one entrepreneur, has the strong ability in the civil
works and managing and leadership skills in all other type of construction. Afra Corporation Ltd. is
looking forward to creating managerial position for the unemployed citizen to make the strong
management structure.
The structure allows for participation of a wide range of role players with different levels of expertise
and it is envisaged that it will be this dynamic that will be the ultimate success of the company.

accumulated more than 42 years of work experience in the construction industry. They are
involved in the business development, procurement, project management and administration
of the company.
The management team proactively gathers feedback, identifies changes in business

policy to all staff at regular meetings.

Md. Mohiuddin
Md. Mohiuddin is the Managing Director of the company & has obtained his Hon’s &
Masters from University of Dhaka, Bangladesh. He is responsible for the followings:
Direct the company’s planning activities and provide leadership and overall guidance in both
the administration and operation of the company.
Manage the promotion, development and extension of the business of the Company and
protect the reputation and interests of the Company.
Identify the long range objectives of the Company and recommend their adoption to the
Board.
Oversees the development and implementation of all activities of the Company including
marketing, financial control, personnel and industrial relations, audit and procurement.

Engr. Md. Nuruddin

Md. Nuruddin is the Director of this company & also a Contract Person with the firm,
responsible for the management of the projects such as this business will be undertaking,
assist the PM in the drafting and issuance of project proposals, RFP’s, tenders, budgets, cash
flows and preliminary schedules .Prior to his position with above business he was employed
by the construction Companies in the position- Ass-Project Engineer, Project Engineer and
Site Manager.
He has obtained his Civil Engineering from Chittagong University of Engineering &

Engr. Haroon Ferdousi
Haroon Ferdousi is the Senior Advisor of this company & also a Contract Person with the
firm, responsible for the project planning, pricing and consultancy for mechanical works.
He has obtained his BSc. engineering (Mechanical) from BUET, Bangladesh.
In 1991, he completed FMMI training course, AOTS from Osaka, Japan for scientific
Approach to medium scale industries.
From 1977 to 1977 he was Deputy Spud. At Bengal Development Corporation (BDC).He
served as Plant Manager from 1977-81 at 5000 Precast Houses Project, Abudhabi, and UAE
under BDC. Completing this, he went to Iraq as a Project Coordinator for different
construction work under Baghdad Municipalities.
In 1987, he became the Operative Director of Islam Group. During his period, he has
completed 90MW Power Plant at Fenchuganj, Factory building of Bangladesh Capacitors
Ltd. At Savar, Desh Beverage Ltd., Coca-Cola Canning Project (67000sft), Bangladesh
Tobacco Co. Ltd. On turnkey basis. He resigned from Islam Group at 1996.
From 1984 to till date he is the proprietor of Marshal Services, Marshal Distilleries & Asian
Poly Industry.

Engr. Jashim Uddin

Shahadat Hossain
B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering (CUET), M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering (Polytecnico di
Milano, Italy)

Mr. Shahadat Hossain is working as research & development Engineer in CANNON Afros,
world’s leading supplier of dosing machine, mixing equipment and processing technologies
for polyurethane and composites. Being expert and creative in Polyurethane (PU) processing
technology, composite processing technologies, he acquired sound analytical and leadership
skills in planning and implementation of product design and development.
