COURSE INFORMATION
1. Course Number :MATH 2a
2. Course Name :Differential Calculus
3. Course Description :This course introduces to students the fundamentals of Calculus: limits, continuity ,
derivatives, maxima and minima problems, differentials. It assumes a thorough understanding of concepts of analytic
geometry and trigonometry.
4. Pre-requisite : Math 141a
5. Co-requisite : Math 7a and Math 132
6. Credit : 3.0 units
7. Class schedule : 5 hours per week

First Exam Part 1: Chapter 3 Multiple Choice You are expected to perform the rules/operations of differentiation in

concept.You will have a short quiz every end of the session, a group activity
in the middle of the week and a long quiz every Friday. Assessment for this
period of the course is a periodical examination.
Second Part 2: Chapter 4 Multiple Choice You are expected to sketch the graph in first and second derivative,
