Last January 18, 2020, 3rd Quarter Awarding of Achievers and Release of Report Cards was conducted
at Our Lady of La Porteria Academy. The program starts at 8:00 in the morning at the assembly area of the
campus. The opening prayer was led by Sherilyn Amorganda and afterwards the Pambansang Awit led by Sir
Jay-ron Piamonte. At 8 o’clock marks the starts of the awarding followed by the parenting seminar and
awarding of SHS achievers. Afterwards, parents proceed to the respective classrooms.
In Grade 12 HUMSS, 19 parents were present. The meeting started by congratulating the academic
awardees of the class. The adviser tackled the agenda given by the coordinators. It was discussed in a detailed
manner. The adviser reminded students who are not yet able to pay their HPTA fees. One of the major agenda
that was discussed is about the JS promenade. Parents were asked if they would like to have it and majority of
them agreed for the said event. There were options that was decided for what is going to be the theme of the
prom – masquerade, fairytale, prince/princess, gods and goddesses, etc., which are subject for the approval of
the administration. Parents were given deadline for the confirmation for the said event until February 7, 2020.
Other concerns with regards to the js prom will be disseminated through the diary or letter.
Aside from that, requirements for the graduating student were also discussed such as their thesis,
absences and tardiness which could affect their academic performance and community service which they are
going to render before the graduation.
The adviser sincerely thanks the parents for the support for the past activities of the school.
Afterwards, the release of report cards was immediately followed.
The meeting ended at 11:15 am.
