 Issue: Concrete cover is not sufficient regarding design 75 mm; 35 mm as actual after pile’s head breaking.
 Date: December 28, 2018
 MAM’s Instruction: To be well prepare for pile cap work, contractor needs to provide enough concrete cover by
repairing the broken edge with new dropped down cut off level or by grouting. KPCC site engineer should
inform technical team in order to have formal review with design.

Mud with concrete cover

 Location: Tower-crane’s base
 Issue: Concrete at cut off level contains mud/soil.
 Date: December 28, 2018
 MAM’s Instruction: Seeing that issue, KPCC need to break any surface which contains mud/soil in order to
make pile’s head clean with good quality. Repairing procedure should be put in method statement.

To make it as formal rectifying, contractor need to repair those structural elements which have
mentioned above with report.
Technical or design team should prepare method statement and submit to relevant parties in order
to have correct repairing procedure at site with good result.
