Recommendations to eliminate or reduce potential hazards associated
with each step
 Work permit performed prior to start.
 Proper PPE.
 Cordoning of Area (Isolation by time).
 Signboards.
 Certified Radiographer (RPS).
 Radiation Monitors are fit for purpose (In Calibration).
 Only classified workers allowed in work area during
exposure of source.
 Dose rate not exceed 7.5 micro Sieverts per hr. at
barriers.
 Emergency equipment readily available on site.
 No eating/drinking in work area.
 Radiation source to be returned immediately to approve
holding area when not in use.
 Procedure approved by Company.
