II. WORDS OF ADDITION AND CONTRAST
These words help us to add more information in order to 1. Add more information with the same point of
view (words of addition) or 2. Express a different opinion (words of contrast)
• Connectors are usually written in specific places in a sentence:

At the beginning of a sentence: in addition, furthermore, morover, howevrr, nevertheless, on the one
hand, on the other hand.
Example: - I have a great job, it is my dreamed job. In addition, I have great colleagues in it.
Either at the beginning or in the middle: despite, in spite of, although, even though.
Example: - Although I don’t like my job, I really like the payment.
Only in the middle of a sentence: and, but, also, as well as
Example: - I like my job but I don’t like my colleagues.

de los estudiantes sin conectividad o con poca conectividad, o a través de CLASSROOM. Se les recomienda
usar aplicaciones como CamScanner.

a.m.
Los estudiantes del grado 9-5 deben hacer entrega de las actividades a la docente Sandra Milena Martínez
