BLL10103 – PRESENTATION SKILLS

ASSIGNMENT (30%)

INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Students are required to do TWO (2) presentations. They are required to do a
2. DEMONSTRATIVE PRESENTATION and a PERSUASIVE PRESENTATION on ANY
topic of your interest but avoid sensitive topics.
3. The chosen topic must NOT overlap with the other presenters.
4. The presentation must be at least TEN (10) minutes long and do not exceed FIFTEEN
(15) minutes.
5. As for the demonstrative presentation students are required to demonstrate a product
for instance (see go-shop for reference). No slides are required.
6. However, the persuasive presentation should contain the following criteria:
a) Slide presentation (minimum 7 slides)
b) Topic & reason for choosing the topic
c) Objective/targeted group
d) Cause/effect (including justifications, evidence, cases, statistics)
e) Conclusion -probable result of your presentation
7. Make sure to submit the a hardcopy of the SLIDES and ASSESSMENT RUBRICS
before the presentation.
8. All the presenters are required to wear formal attire. Penalty will be given to those who
are not following the instruction.
9. Mode: GROUP WORK (6 person only)
10. Your assignment must be a research of your own study. Marks will be deducted for
plagiarism.
11. Deadline: WEEK 5 (PADLET)

PART 1:
Students are required to do TWO (2) presentations: DEMONSTRATIVE PRESENTATION and
PERSUASIVE PRESENTATION. This is a group work. Students are required to record their
presentations and upload them on PADLET. TWO (2) hardcopies of the assessment rubrics
have to be submitted to the lecturer together with a hardcopy of the slides of the persuasive
presentation. Students are reminded to use all the interesting elements for an effective
presentation that has been covered in the class.
