ANNOTATIONS

During these hard times, we have to be more responsive to their needs, because
not all of them can do the work on their own as they have to balance
schoolwork and household chores. Because of this ILMP, I can keep track of the
learner’s progress.

ANNOTATIONS

Since we are all working from home, we can only communicate through chat,
texts and calls. We send the daily task through messenger and discuss the lesson
briefly, to ensure they are guided while doing their Self-learning module. We
also remind them with the lessons and tasks through this platform. This is also
one way to make them feel connected to the school.

ANNOTATIONS

For students enrolled in online classes, synchronous classes were done thrice a
week, using google meet, we interact as if we are in a face-to-face class. We still
do games and collaborate by group thanks to some platforms on the internet.
Their output are submitted in google classroom, we have quizzes using google
forms.

ANNOTATIONS

Due to the circumstances brought by the community quarantine, we are all


restricted to go out. Our solution is to send the SLMs and LAS through the
group chat. We also utilized printed LEAPs for those who prefer hard copies.

In order to maintain the quality education. We still plan our lessons using the
Lesson Exemplars, these lesson plans were being checked by the Coordinators
and the Principal.

ANNOTATIONS

We submit Weekly Home Learning Plan for those students who cannot afford to
go online on a daily basis. We send the file through their GC every Monday so
they could download and be guided on the daily task. The WHLP is also
helpful to those parents who monitor their child’s progress.

LEAP Booklets were used by the teachers for the daily lessons and tasks. These
lessons were discussed through google meet for online classes and through chat
for modular classes.

ANNOTATIONS

Teaching in online classes means we have to make use of all the available ICT
tools, such as Google meet, Google Forms, Nearpod, and anything that may be
useful in delivering interesting lesson to learners.

ANNOTATIONS

ICT integration is always present nowadays, whether in learners and teachers.


Google Forms is widely used in giving summative tests and quizzes. Using this
application, the quizzes were checked automatically and instantly releases the
scores. This can save time and effort in checking outputs.

Adapting in the new normal wasn’t easy. That’s why attending these webinars
were helpful to us to improve our teaching and gain knowledge about different
strategies to use.

REFLECTIVE SUMMARY

This LDM 2 course is an important learning experience for us teachers. It made


me realize that we need to be responsible in using ICT to achieve and reinforce
learning. We were equipped with the right tools on how to handle different
modalities. We also learned how to cater the needs of the learners in the new
normal set-up. We were also guided in contextualizing different aspects of
education with the situation that we have now. We also have to put the well-
being of the students first, make things convenient for them because adapting
to the new normal was not easy for them. I also realized that I have to take care
of my well-being as well because these learners are all counting on me.
