APPLICATION OF VISUAL DEPARTURE PROCEDURE
1.Visual departure procedure is applicable at Phu Bai International Airport.
2.Application princples. Visual departure procedure can be applied to IFR flights on the request of
POC when the following requirements are met:
-Aircraft performance permits aircraft to make an early turn after taking-off;
-There is no other aircraft operating in the area of responsibility;
-Current and forecasted visual meteorological conditions meet requirements during the period
of taking-off and climbing;
-It must be ensured that aircraft is above minimum sector altitude (MSA) when ATC issues initial
clearance and pilot must maintain flight altitude above obstacle clearance altitude until passing MSA;
-This procedure is applied in daytime only.
3. Application limitations. Visual departure procedure will not be applied in following cases:
-From radial 131 to radial 168, 9 NM from VOR/DME HUE.
-From radial 168 to radial 176, within 9 NM to 13 NM from VOR/DME HUE.
-From radial 201 to radial 246, 10 NM from VOR/DME HUE.
