I. PROJECT TITLE: School-Based In - Service Training – Workshop on the Policy and

Guidelines on the preparation of Daily Lesson Log
II. RATIONALE:
In the face of such tremendous change brought by the emergence of the corona virus
disease 2019 (COVID-19), education has changed dramatically, with the distinctive rise of
different learning modality, whereby teaching is undertaken remotely via modular distance
learning. Thus, the Department of Education (DepEd) released the Guidelines on the
implementation of the Results-based Performance Management System (RPMS) for School
Year 2020-2021. The MEMORANDUM DM-PHROD-2021-0010 is issued to provide
comprehensive guideline to all schools in the implementation of the SY 2020-2021 RPMS in
the time of COVID-19.
The performance of the teachers must be according to the Results-based Performance

Management System. The guidelines indicated three indicators in the Classroom Observation
Tool (COT) to be used in observing teachers during classroom observation and to ensure that
teachers exhibited the specified indicators in the COT, proper planning is very essential since
lesson planning attributes to effective teaching. Sensibly written Daily Lesson Log (DLL)
will help teachers to perform on what the department expected from them, to teach
effectively.
To respond in the changes that we are experiencing in the delivery of learning and for
the teachers to perform their duty effectively this INSET is being proposed.
III. OBJECTIVES
Through this training, the participants and the proponent are expected to;
1. Update teachers in the preparation of Daily Lesson Log
2. Familiarize teachers about the classroom observation tool indicators for the school year
2020-2021;
3. Produce Daily Lesson Log.

VI. MONITORING AND EVALUATION:
The proponents and the school head will monitor the output of the project. A training
evaluation will be conducted using the attached tool.

I. DESCRIPTION OF THE PROJECT
The training-workshop will train teachers on the preparation of the Daily Lesson Log
that can be used in organizing and managing teachers’ classes and lessons effectively and
efficiently and ensure the achievement of learning outcome and to orient teachers about
classroom observation tool indicators for the school year 2020-2021.
At the end of the three-day training-workshop, the participants are expected to submit
their outputs for evaluation. The produced Daily Lesson Log will be evaluated by the
proponent:
The evaluated DLL will be used during classroom observation for the third quarter.
