Reciban un cordial saludo fraternal abrazo virtual de parte de su docente de Lengua Extranjera. Esperamos que en
esta nueva semana esté llena de éxitos. En la Semana 2 del Primer Parcial del Primer Quimestre contemplan varias
actividades de diagnóstico que van a realizar para toda la semana, de manera ordenada, aplicando el ABP
(APRENDIZAJE B ASADO EN PROYECTOS) el cual consta de los siguientes pasos actividades:

TOPIC: Phrasal Verbs
A phrasal verb is a phrase that results from the combination of a verb and a preposition, an adverb, or both. The
function of a phrasal verb is to convey a meaning different from the literal meaning of the individual
words that form it.
ACTIVITIES

1. BELOW ARE SOME PHRASAL VERBS RELATED TO SPORTS. T RY TO GUESS WHAT THEY MEAN USING THE
CONTEXT.

• I enjoy working out at the gym every night after work.

• Oh no! I ate too much pizza. I must work off every slice of it if I want to wear that dress!

• Don’t start yet! You need to warm up first, or you can get a sprain.

• Michael loves baseball and he is good at it. He should try out for the team.

• Near the end of a triathlon, many athletes pass out due to exhaustion and dehydration.

• Did you see that Andy Ruiz Jr. won the fight when he knocked out his opponent?
 • Daniel Cormier never gives up during a fight, that is why he is the UFC heavyweight champion.

2. WRITE THE NUMBER OF THE PHRASAL VERB NEXT TO ITS DEFINITION.

 Busque un lugar cómodo, bonito, agradable donde realizar sus tareas.

 Se sugiere siempre empezar por lo más difícil y terminar con algo más sencillo.
 Recuerde que su actitud como padre, madre o representante es importante para que los estudiantes adquieran
el hábito de estudiar.
 Puede alentar a su hijo (a) a planificar, organizar, alcanzar metas y asumir responsabilidades asegurándose de
que tenga muchas oportunidades para culminar con éxito sus actividades.
 Apoyar a su representado con las tareas, pero no hacerlas por ellos y felicitar por el esfuerzo invertido.
 No olvide siempre tener a la mano un diccionario.
 Se sugiere realizar las actividades a mano para evitar plagio.
 Se propone que las actividades sean enviadas al finalizar la semana y en caso de que se le presente algún
inconveniente hasta el lunes de la siguiente semana, al correo institucional khrystell.sanchez@educacion.gob.ec
esta recomendación se propone para evitar atrasos y mantener sus actividades al día.
